Sources, purpose & corrections

Small learning tools. Sources you can inspect.

Moongazer is a free collection of Quran, Seerah, history and everyday learning apps. This page explains what the activities are for, how to inspect their sources and where to report a correction.

What Moongazer is for

Moongazer brings together twenty free browser apps for Quran reading, Seerah, history, prayer meanings and shared learning activities. They are small tools for a chosen task: find a phrase, compare passages, inspect a report, plan study time or work through a puzzle.

The collection is educational. Its games, diagrams, fictional cases and suggested reading paths are editorial aids. A result does not measure faith, certify a business arrangement, assess recitation accuracy or replace qualified teaching.

How to inspect the sources

Each app has a Sources & methodology page. Quran quotations retain their Arabic text and references. Quoted English Quran passages use Marmaduke Pickthall's translation. Attributed commentary and source reports are distinguished from authored questions and explanations.

History and map entries include their own evidence notes. A conventional date, modern map context or overlapping time period should not be treated as a precise claim beyond the cited evidence. The Islamic Civilization Timeline uses institutional references for its selected historical records.

The source pages below identify the editions, reports, attribution and editorial limits used by each activity. Open the relevant app's notes before relying on an explanation.

Accounts, saved progress and privacy

The collection has no accounts, subscriptions or visitor analytics. You can begin an activity without creating a personal profile. Family activities do not ask for children's names or private stories.

Apps that offer saved progress keep it in that browser. Theme preferences are separate from activity saving. Saved records are ignored after thirty days when accessed; browser storage does not automatically disappear while a site is closed. Each app's Privacy & storage page and clear-data controls explain how to manage its data.

Reflection notes in Quranic Parables Studio remain in memory until explicitly copied or downloaded. A browser tab is not permanent storage for a note you want to keep.

Report a source or wording correction

For a source, quotation, attribution or wording correction, email nrshafi1@gmail.com.

Include the app name, page URL, the wording you are referring to and the source or edition that helps explain the issue. A Quran reference or report link makes a correction easier to examine. Keep private family experiences and personal reflection notes out of a source-correction report.

The presence of source links does not imply independent scholarly certification. These activities support reading and reflection; questions of interpretation or religious practice belong with appropriately qualified instruction.

Choose a starting point

Use a subject guide to compare the tools by the task you want to do. Each guide links directly to the apps and explains where their scope ends.
